A chance discovery of a suitcase containing a million dollars in an airport parking lot gives Alex the opportunity to change his life forever.
Synopsis
Vacationing in Sicily comes to an end as Alex and his family arrive at the airport to catch their flight home. While parking the car, Alex runs over a suitcase filled with a million dollars. Seizing the moment, Alex takes the money and sends his family to a safe hideout.
Unbeknownst to Alex, the suitcase belongs to Antonio, who was tasked with delivering the money to his uncle, Luigi Scabrini, a notorious drug lord. The money was payment from cocaine buyers, Vuk and Marco, who are tracking the suitcase. When the suitcase goes missing, the buyers follow its trail to Luigi’s mansion, where they confront Antonio. Believing they’ve been double-crossed, the buyers kill Luigi, but Antonio narrowly escapes.
Alex flees with the money on a rented yacht, where he unexpectedly crosses paths with Antonio. Realizing Alex has the suitcase, Antonio warns him that both the buyers and Luigi’s network will stop at nothing to retrieve the money. Antonio devises a plan to protect them, but is killed by the buyers before it can be executed.
A chaotic car chase ensues, culminating in an explosion that kills the buyers. Alone with the stolen money, Alex hires a helicopter to flee. The pilot is Pedro Scabrini, Luigi’s brother, though neither man realizes the connection. The helicopter disappears into the sunset with Alex and the suitcase.
The next morning, Pedro wakes from a drunken stupor to devastating news: his brother Luigi and nephew Antonio have been killed by the buyers, who themselves perished in a fiery crash. Meanwhile, the cocaine shipment is destroyed, and the million-dollar suitcase is missing—taken by a tourist who Pedro now recognizes as the man he flew into the sunset.
